Mary Morris, APRN-CNP, CGRN, is Board Certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses, and as an Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Mary is a native of Oklahoma City and attended the University of Oklahoma for both her undergraduate and graduate studies in nursing. In addition to her experience in pediatric and adult gastroenterology, Mary has previous nursing experience as a surgical and trauma intensive care registered nurse. She began her tenure with Digestive Disease Specialists, Inc. in 2006.
Mary’s clinical education and experience provides a strong academic foundation for high quality patient care. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems.
Mary participates in local and foreign medical missions, and is a member of the American Nurses Association, Oklahoma Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, and a Board Member of the Central Oklahoma Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates. Additionally, she is a scholarship recipient from the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century and the Chickasaw Nation.
