Dr. Maton received his training at The London Hospital Medical College, University of London. His internship, residency and his clinical fellowship were completed at University of London Hospitals. He spent five years at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and served as Chief of the Clinical Investigation Section of the Digestive Diseases Branch, where he conducted research and clinical trials in the field of gastroenterology. Dr. Maton is board certified in both general Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in the UK as well as the US. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). Dr. Maton has been in private practice in Oklahoma since 1990 and associated with Digestive Disease Specialists, Inc. since 1997. Dr. Maton lectures extensively in the United States and internationally on subjects relating to gastroenterology diseases and research. He has co-authored over 200 scientific articles, books, and book chapters.
